Perched high up above the hustle and bustle of Sydney’s CBD, popular rooftop venue The Rook has relaunched with a fresh new feel.
Once reminiscent of New York, The Rook now boasts a cool LA vibe coupled with a new menu by executive chef Daniel Corbett.
Available for exclusive and partial hire, the revived venue features a dusty pink and burgundy colour palette, with tan leather seating and a terracotta bar front.
“We wanted to keep the soul of the original Rook, while giving it a fresh burst of energy,” said Corbett.
While lobster rolls and burgers still take centre stage on the menu, a wider variety of dishes are now available, including grilled Yamba prawns, pearl barley risotto and mussels in a Thai broth.
Encompassing the main bar and dining room, the entire venue can be hired for exclusive events, with capacity for 120 guests in a standing format or 70 seated.
To celebrate the refresh, The Rook has also introduced an exclusive gin cocktail menu, dubbed Hot Gin Roof.
The wintry, tea-inspired menu includes tipples such as ‘Berrylicious’, with Sipsmith London Dry Gin, hibiscus and berry tea, ginger, grapefruit, mint; ‘Tea Time’, with Sipsmith London Dry Gin, Sipsmith London Cup, earl grey tea, orange, cinnamon, star anise; and ‘Hot Ginsmith’, with Sipsmith London Dry Gin, vanilla chai tea, banana liqueur, cacao nibs, caramel, cream.
