Located in Adelaide’s cultural hub on North Terrace, Stamford Plaza Adelaide has announced that their $9 million guest room refurbishment, which includes the prestigious Presidential Suite, has now passed the halfway mark with work on schedule to conclude mid 2013.
The Stamford Plaza Adelaide has passed the halfway point of their $9 million room refurbishment.
The refurbishment of guest rooms and suites, which includes a total upgrade of the air-conditioning system, has allowed Stamford Plaza Adelaide to implement environmental initiatives with energy efficient lighting and water saving devices throughout the hotel. Energy saving sensors have been installed in all rooms and suites for both lighting and air conditioning.
With a focus on enhanced facilities for both business and leisure guests, environmental harmony, improved entertainment and ensuring guests get a good night’s sleep, the new rooms incorporate contemporary design including LCD TV’s, iPhone compatible stereo alarm clocks and high speed WiFi availability. These inclusions come after research from our corporate clients that the most important thing for business travellers is to feel like their rooms are an extension of their mobile office.
“We have carefully planned the refurbishment to be staged in sections by closing off entire floors, which has helped to significantly reduce any noise impact to our valued guests,” said general manager, Peter Gee.
Gee has also announced that plans are underway for a complete makeover of Swish Bar and Restaurant together with the hotel lobby and entry area.
“This refurbishment cements Stamford Hotels and Resorts commitment to Adelaide and our upgrade in accommodation infrastructure will ensure that the industry remains competitive, which will most certainly assist the city to win major events for South Australia.”
