Brisbane Marriott Hotel has officially unveiled its new look, following an extensive $20 million redesign.
The hotel’s 267 guest rooms and suites, executive lounge, two floors of event space and signature restaurant have been fully refurbished, giving the 21-year-old property a modern look and feel.
Marriott employed Malaysian-based company Duoz Design for the project, to ensure the refurbished hotel stayed true to its heritage.
Careful consideration was given to the hotel’s natural and historic surroundings and these details were thoughtfully incorporated into the new design.
“From the ambient lighting used throughout the hotel, reminiscent of a balmy Brisbane evening, to the colour palette in the hotel rooms, every element was inspired by the Brisbane region,” said general manager John Douglas.
“We are proud to welcome guests to experience the reintroduction of this special hotel, made even more memorable as the hotel celebrates its 21st birthday.”
The updated rooms and suites feature neutral tones and soft furnishings which contrast against the historic marble that has been restored and renewed.
The rooms have been fitted with the latest technology, including ASSO ABLOY Orion system, which enables front desk staff to conveniently adjust lighting and air conditioning upon guest check-in to ensure a welcoming first impression.
The hotel’s signature restaurant, Motion Dining, offers guests a variety of dining experiences, from seated tables overlooking the grill and high tables in M Bar to alfresco dining on MDeck. Helmed by executive chef Peter Iwanczyk, Motion Dining’s menu showcases the best locally-sourced ingredients, including some of the freshest Queensland prime steaks and seafood.
Brisbane Marriott also boasts 12 flexible events spaces divided across two floors, an outdoor pool and a 24-hour gym.
