This concluded three weeks of three ‘Mirvac on the Move’ tradeshows in Brisbane, Melbourne and of course Sydney, and the end of Mirvac Hotels & Resorts’ SmartCar competition with three lucky clients driving away in zippy new cars.  

More than 1500 professional conference organisers, clients and local businesspeople wandered through “the world of Mirvac” at the ‘Mirvac on the Move’ tradeshow which travelled along the East Coast from The Sebel and Citigate King George Square Brisbane, before heading south to The Como Melbourne then wrapping up in Sydney.

The roving tradeshow was a unique opportunity to experience the range of over 45 Mirvac Hotels and Resorts with attendees in Queensland, Victoria and New South Wales being invited to: stay with us at the Sealy bed making or pillow throwing competitions for the chance to win a Sealy bed; play with us and ski the fields of Falls Creek on a ski simulator, race on a virtual Bathurst supercar track or sink a hole in one on the golf simulator; relax with us and indulge in massages and manicures; drink with us to sample Mirvac signature cocktails and boutique beers; and dine with us at the cooking competitions.

A hush fell over the crowd when it came time to announce the winners of Mirvac Hotels and Resorts SMARTCar competition. Out of more than 10,000 entries, the lucky winners to drive away in a brand new ergonomic SmartCar were – Janelle Gibbon-Heath of JGH Events, Cheryl Miller of Royal Queensland Children’s Bush Health Scheme and Dimitra Kamboukos of Insurance National, Guild Insurance Limited.

The national campaign rewarded those who made the smart choice and booked an event at a Mirvac hotel or resort between March and September 2009.
