Luxury hotel opens in Sydney’s Inner West

Mediterranean-inspired rooftop vibes and stylish boutique rooms have arrived.

Burwood, in Sydney’s Inner West, has welcomed its first luxury hotel in over a decade with the opening of Marsden Hotel Burwood.

It marks the second hotel in the group’s portfolio, following the launch of Marsden Hotel in Parramatta last year.

Marsden Hotel Burwood features 90 spacious rooms equipped with luxe furnishings and fixtures, as well a rooftop pool and bar, restaurant, artisan patisserie and event spaces.

Hotel veteran David Johnston has joined the team as general manager, bringing with him experience working for Ritz-Carlton and Intercontinental.

“We’ve spared no expense with this latest venture, to create a hotel to rival the best in the CBD, where the genuine care and comfort of our guests is our highest priority,” he said.

“Guests can expect the best in personal service and facilities, from our meticulously crafted rooms to impeccable dining experiences.”

The restaurant menu champions local suppliers, with quality steaks from Vic’s Meat, locally sourced seafood as well as a range of vegetarian, vegan and gluten free options to ensure everyone is catered to.

Skye Rooftop Bar and Pool, the hotel’s Mediterranean-inspired rooftop space, can cater to larger events of up to 100 seated or 200 cocktail-style.
