Hair Raiser, the new permanent attraction at Luna Park Sydney, opened on Boxing Day to hoards of excited thrill seekers.

The new Hair Raiser ride

The ride offers visitors to the park a whole new perspective of the city skyline. Situated on the edge of Sydney’s harbour, the ride lifts riders 50 metres above sea level for a bird’s eye view of the city before being dropped at a speed of 80 km per hour in less than a second back to earth.

Luna Park’s clowns had the first go

In addition to the new permanent attraction, Luna Park Sydney will continue its school holiday tradition of introducing several extra attractions to appear temporarily. This includes ‘Freak Out’, a ride that swings its riders up to 120 degrees while 21 metres in the air. Exclusive to Luna Park Sydney these summer holidays, it will mark the attraction’s first appearance in Australia.

In keeping with Luna Park tradition, all new rides including the Hair Raiser are offered at no extra cost.
