Brisbane’s Limes Hotel has become the latest property to join the rapidly expanding Eight Hotels Australia chain, ending the group’s extensive search for an establishment in the Queensland capital.

Limes had been courted by a number of chains and brand management companies since it opened a year ago and industry insiders are labelling the new partnership a huge coup for Eight Hotels Australia.
Eight Hotels Australia CEO Paul Fischmann said the addition of Limes was a key strategic move in the group’s ongoing growth.
“We are thrilled to welcome Limes to our collection,” Fischmann said. “Our long search for a Brisbane property has paid off. Limes is a spectacular hotel and perfectly complements our portfolio.”
Limes Hotel, which features 21 luxuriously-appointed rooms, a rooftop bar and outdoor cinema, is owned and operated by Brisbane local Damian Griffiths.
“We are very excited to join Eight Hotels Australia and further drive our domestic and corporate market business, particularly from Sydney and Melbourne,” Griffiths said.
The addition of Limes comes on the back of last month’s’ launch of a new apartment concept from Eight Hotels, which saw residences in Sydney and Paris added to the group’s collection.
