Laissez-faire catering has been awarded the contract of official caterer for The Australian National Maritime Museum and its new cafe to open in July
In addition to the National Maritime Museum, Laissez-faire’s other high profile clients include the State Library of NSW, the Australian Technology Park, The Prince Henry Centre, the Gap Bluff and the Elizabeth Bay Marina. The museum’s new waterside café will be its seventh contracted café.
At the museum they will provide catering for weddings, corporate functions and social events – from banquets to cocktail parties – in the museum’s unique harbourside venue spaces including naval destroyer HMAS Vampire and the Tasman Light Gallery.
“The Australian National Maritime Museum is delighted to welcome Laissez-faire on board. We look forward to working together to create unforgettable events in our waterfront setting on Sydney’s Darling Harbour,” said museum director Mary-Louise Williams.
General manager, Sara Flaksbard, cites Laissez-faire’s success as being down to sourcing the best quality, local products available, with a professional team that can manage all aspects of any event.
“We are excited to join the National Maritime Museum team and it is our intention to work in collaboration to firmly cement its reputation as a leading quality venue of choice,” she said.
