Exclusive event access to one of Australia’s most celebrated botanic gardens; laneway tours of hole-in-the-wall cafes serving the best coffee in town; and intimate dinners in little-known but extraordinary boutique wineries are just some of the local experiences available as part of InterContinental Hotels and Resorts’ new meetings program.

Sydney style: InterContinental has launched a national meetings program

Launched on November 1 across Australasia, the global InterContinental Meetings provides event planners with inspiring ideas for bringing professional interactions to life, while making their job easier with new web-based tools and services such as virtual tours, interactive floor plans and e-Proposals.

Exclusive to the program is Insider Collection, a selection of local venues, authentic experiences and services unique to each InterContinental hotel, created to motivate and connect delegates with the destination, through every element of their event.

Hinged on the local expertise and knowledge of the people behind each InterContinental hotel, Insider Collection comprises five elements: insider locations; insider speakers; insider community; insider interactions; and insider breaks.

“InterContinental Meetings brings the history, culture, flavours and experiences of the destination to delegates, while making it easier for planners to create events using new online tools and resources established as part of the new program,” said InterContinental Hotels Group Australasia Chief Operating Officer, Bruce McKenzie.

“While our network of hotels and resorts is global, our knowledge and expertise is local. Our hotel teams can provide planners interesting and inspiring ideas on how they can connect delegates to the destination and make their events more productive and memorable, no matter the size, shape or requirements,” he said.
