The Intercontinental Hotel Group (IHG) has signed a preferred supplier agreement with HelmsBriscoe, one of the highest-volume venue brokers in the MICE sector.

The agreement makes IHG’s resorts and conference facilities across the Asia Pacific region preferred sourced locations for HelmsBriscoe’s 940 associates and 8000 corporate, association and government clients.

The new agreement builds on existing relationships between IHT and HelmsBriscoe in the Americas, Europe, the Middle East and Africa, making the hotel group a true global preferred supplier for meetings and events.

The two companies inked the deal at a signing dinner held last week at the InterContinental Sydney’s Rooftop Club Lounge.

The event was attended key IHG account managers and a number of HelmsBriscoe executives from the US, including Ian Quartermaine, managing director for the venue broker’s international division.
