Hyatt is set to make its re-entry into Adelaide, with the signing of Hyatt Regency Adelaide.
Slated to open in early 2023, the hotel marks the brand’s return to Adelaide after the former Hyatt Regency became an InterContinental hotel in 2009.
The new-build hotel will offer 295 rooms, a rooftop bar and 750 square metres of event space in the heart of Adelaide’s CBD.
“The development of the new Hyatt Regency Adelaide will mark an important re-entry into Adelaide for the brand and also fill a key gap in Hyatt’s domestic Australian network,” said Monika Dubaj, vice president real estate and development, Asia Pacific at Hyatt.
The hotel is being developed in partnership with CES Pirie Hotel, an entity wholly owned by Chip Eng Seng Corporation Limited.
Development on the Pirie Street property is scheduled to begin in early 2020.
“We are grateful to work with CES Pirie Hotel on the opening of the new Hyatt Regency Adelaide and are excited to bring the Hyatt Regency brand, which has a strong legacy and following, back to this vibrant city,” said David Udell, group president, Asia Pacific at Hyatt.
“Located in Adelaide’s city center, the hotel will provide guests with the tools to stay connected and benefit from the hotel’s intuitive and personalised service.”
