InterContinental Sydney Double Bay has opened its courtyard up to event bookings.

The French provincial-style space was previously only available to guests.

Located at the centre of the hotel, the courtyard is now available for exclusive hire for events, such as intimate wedding ceremonies, cocktail celebrations and conference breakouts and can fit up to 80 people standing or 50 people seated.

The venue is reminiscent of a courtyard found behind the walls of a private residence with stone paving, topiaries, manicured fragrant gardens, ceramic urns and Parisian café-style furnishing, surrounded by cream walls and Juliet balconies.

The courtyard is the newest addition to the hotel’s spaces that also include the pillarless grand ballroom with six adjoining function rooms, the rooftop pool and lounge, the Stockroom restaurant and grill, and Stillery lounge and gin bar.
