The Macarthur district welcomes a new bar, grill restaurant and craft brewery.
Rydges Campbelltown has unveiled a new dining and bar concept called Otis Bar and Grill. The hotel invested $700,000 in the transformation of the ground-floor entertainment area, previously named Infusion restaurant and brewery.
The new venue can cater for 400 guests and features a striking 360-bottle wine wall, an eye-catching art piece hovering over the bar, and an outdoor terrace.
The fine-dining restaurant specialises in premium wagyu beef and the adjacent Otis Brewing Company will offer six beers and two ciders on tap.
Rydges General Manager Brett Barlow said Otis will cater to the hotel’s conference delegates, users of the adjacent Campbelltown Catholic Club and CUBE Convention and Entertainment Centre, as well as Macarthur locals.
“We invite Sydneysiders and especially locals, including Picton, Camden and Liverpool, to come in and savour the sophisticated sanctuary we have crafted for people to relax in stylish ambience, feast on gourmet food and enjoy our chic cocktails, earthy brews and also live acoustic music on Friday and Saturday nights,” Barlow said.
The signature dish at Otis Grill, overseen by executive chef Mathew Ovington, is premium Schottlanders wagyu beef from the NSW South Coast, while the suite of new craft beers brewed on site includes The Stag – which recently scored a bronze medal at the 2015 Sydney Royal Beer and Cider Show, the flagship spice and citrus noted beer, The Ghost, inspired by Macarthur’s famous ghost, Fred Fisher, and also Pug Pale Ale, Boar Pilsener and Fox Amber Ale – all on tap. Brewery tours will also be offered.
The Rydges Campbelltown offers free WiFi and parking, 116 luxury rooms, access to the huge Aquafit Fitness and Leisure Centre next door and meeting space for 80 people with conference facilities at the adjacent CUBE Convention and Entertainment Centre for up to 80 guests. Campbelltown Golf Club is also nearby.
Otis Bar and Grill is located at Rydges Campbelltown, 15 Old Menangle Rd, Campbelltown NSW.
