Manly Pavilion boasts panoramic harbour views, a warm inviting atmosphere and an enticing seasonal menu, making for a great destination to gather over food and drinks.
Originally built in 1933 by the Port Jackson and Manly Steamship Company as a dressing room for the comfort of bathers, the heritage-listed venue is positioned in Manly Cove just steps away from Manly Wharf.
Manly Pavilion’s brand new executive chef Andrew Corsi, is of strong pedigree, having trained under the tutelage of Raymond Blanc at Le Manoir aux Quat’ Saisons in the UK, before being mentored by Giovanni Pilu here in Australia. Chef Andrea worked with Pilu for a decade at both Cala Luna and Pilu at Freshwater before they opened and co-owned Cavallino.
“For me, working in one of the most beautiful places in Sydney, if not the world, is just incredible. Coming to work each day is a pure pleasure,” said Chef Andrea Corsi. “Producing food and drinks that successfully complement the location is a great delight and I love giving a little twist of Italy in this most Australian of settings.”
Open six days a week, The Bistro at Manly Pavilion occupies the upper level of the building and its open, flowing space is drenched with light refracting off the harbour.
The menu reflects Chef Andrea’s Italian background with a joyous reinterpretation of Sydney bistro dining. The freshest seasonal produce and seafood form the basis for the menu with Chef Andrea creating a variety of daily specials that reflect what is absolutely best on the day.
The bar at Manly Pavilion is a sophisticated black tiled feature that glistens in the evening light with the elevated bar platform providing the perfect vantage point for enjoying unimpeded views of the harbour beyond with a cocktail from the bespoke cocktail menu.
Located on the lower level of the building, is the Manly Pavilion Ballroom which offers uninterrupted panoramic harbour views and jas the capacity to accommodate 220 seated guests. The Ballroom has a ‘Hamptons Style’ feel, and makes a superb setting for weddings, gala ceremonies, birthday celebrations or corporate events.
