Australian National Maritime Museum has opened its newest venue – The Lighthouse Gallery – on the waterfront at Darling Harbour last Thursday night.
Australian National Maritime Museum spokesperson Deanna Varga said, “We were thrilled last week to welcome over 350 industry VIPs to officially launch Lighthouse Gallery, Sydney’s newest event venue. Located on the waterfront and with enviable views across the city, Lighthouse Gallery fills a void in Sydney’s event market for larger capacities. The venue features high ceilings, floor to ceiling windows and so much space you can even bring in a car. Combine this with the support of our team of event professionals and award winning catering partner, we now have the flexibility to deliver numerous styles of events, from gala dinners through to product launches and awards nights.”
The brand new venue is equipped with state-of-the-art in-house AV, cuisine from catering partner Laissez Faire and opportunities to incorporate some of the museum’s exhibitions, such as Amazing Whales – Evolution and survival, and tours into venue packages.
The venue can fit 250 people banquet-style, 230 people with a dance floor, 220 people cabaret-style, 400 people cocktail-style and 400 people theatre-style.
