Curry lovers rejoice! Finally a Sydney restaurant that serves traditional Southern Indian food.
Indu combines the region’s distinctive fresh flavours with quality seasonally sourced produce. Set to change the perception of heavy, rich Indian dishes, pedigree Head Chef Bimal Kumar’s light, modern menu will ignite the city’s passion for Indian cuisine.
With the delicate crafting of tonic and spices, the inventive cocktail list will draw inspiration from classic Indian mixology, with Indu’s signature contemporary flair.
Set in the basement of heritage listed 350 George Street, Indu’s interior transports diners to the bustling Indian villages, while also giving a gentle nod to more affluent India. With two private dining rooms and a custom made central dosa kitchen, Indu brings a theatrical dining experience, previewed through grand windows facing onto the buzz of Sydney’s CBD.
Joining the ranks of the Martin Place dining precinct, the team behind the successful Mejico Restaurant and Tequila Bar will open the doors of Indu at the end of this month (Nov 30).
Indu is located at Basement Level, 350, George Street, Sydney, NSW.
