The owners of The Corner House and Panama House in Bondi are launching a new venue on the rooftop of Greenwood Plaza.
Opening early next week, Hunter Gatherer’s kitchen will be led by Michelin trained head chef Paul Micklewright. The rotating menu will use fresh, locally sourced, sustainable ingredients and ethical produce. The menu’s ‘Hunted’ and ‘Gathered’ sections include seasonal dishes such as Bannockburn free range chicken, braised with Sicilian olives, lemon, confit garlic, thyme and verjus, farmers market steak platter, spiced eggplant, haloumi and tomato salad with parsley and chickpeas and roast bone marrow served with onion jam and toasted baguette. The bar offers a range of craft beers, local spirits, and cocktails, with a focus on organic and biodynamic wines.
The interior fuses contemporary Danish design with rustic farmhouse finishes, and an abundance of lush greenery throughout blends the indoors seamlessly with the outdoors and on to the large terrace. The Italian-designed feature wall is a focal point of the venue, illuminating landscape imagery with a psychedelic twist.
Hunter Gatherer will trade Monday – Friday, with a license until midnight from Wednesday – Friday. The venue that fits 150 people standing is also available for weekend functions and events.
Hunter Gatherer is located at Greenwood Plaza Rooftop, 36 Blue St, North Sydney NSW.
