Tex-Mex tacos, tequilas, Margaritas have arrived in The Rocks.
With enough neon signs to light up the Vegas strip, El Camino Cantina is unashamedly Tex-Mex (not Mexican) in every sense of the word: from the food to the drinks and from the music to the décor.
The menu is laden with classics such as tacos, fajitas, quesadillas, nachos, enchiladas and burritos, as well as a ghost chilli BBQ burger and chicken wings made with the world’s hottest chillies. Desserts include crisp churros tossed in cinnamon sugar and served with cajeta (vanilla salted caramel), and spiced dark chocolate pudding with dulce de leche. There’s also a child-friendly menu, including grilled chicken burrito, crispy fish taco and a grilled Angus beef burger.
Freshly shaken and frozen Margaritas headline a stellar drinks list that includes imported Mexican and house-brewed craft beers, over 200 different tequila and mescal, sangria (by the glass or carafe), and specialty cocktails named after classic rock songs.
Bare brick and whitewashed walls and high ceilings are adorned with custom-made neon signage, naked multi-coloured lightbulbs, bright murals, mirrors and bold artwork. Hand-crafted mosaic tiles adorn table tops and walls and the main bar has barbed wire trussed wood beams overhead and a DJ booth.
There is a live mariachi band performing from 5pm-7pm every Tuesday, Friday and Saturday night, followed by a revolving line up of rock and roll DJs on Fridays and Saturdays.
El Camino Cantina is available for exclusive hire for up to 350 guests, the main bar can be hired for up to 160 guests, and The 27 Club can fit 50 guests, cocktail-style.
