Located in the basement of the old Fringe Bar (now The Unicorn) at 106 Oxford Street, Paddington, Easy Tiger is a 1970’s den with vintage interiors, retro bar snacks and roller-skating waitresses.
Easy Tiger licensee Luke Prout said, “Inspired by current music trends and looking to offer something quite unique to what’s currently out there in the small bar scene, my team and I aimed to create a super-comfortable and often cheeky venue that we would love to drink and eat at ourselves.
“Live music was a must-have feature for Easy Tiger. Following the closure of a number of iconic small music venues in recent years, the area was crying out for a new live venue, and we hope to deliver.”
The cocktails have gag names such as A Marvin Gayetime, Oh No, Yoko, The Bloody Carrie and there are share punchbowls called The Grateful Dead (a take on the classic ‘zombie’) and Solid Gold filled with champagne, Midori and lemonade.
The food menu keeps the 1970’s Americana theme going and includes bacon fat popcorn, chilli cheese fries and soft pretzel with fondue and share plates featuring old school classics of vol-au-vents, kiev bites and devilled eggs.
