Holiday Inn Melbourne on Flinders reveals new event spaces

The property's five event spaces have been refurbished with colourful artworks as the feature.

Holiday Inn Melbourne on Flinders has completed a multi-million-dollar refurbishment of its conference and event spaces.

The hotel engaged New Zealand architects Wilson & Hill to transform the five event spaces with sustainability in mind.

Each of the rooms feature floor-to-ceiling windows to ensure they are flooded with natural light as well as custom artworks by Melbourne photographer Mark Lobo to bring the spaces to life.

General manager Sandra Smith said the new spaces are based on Melbourne’s key traits of sport, shopping, food and arts and culture.

“We gave the photographer full creative freedom to bring the four hallmarks of Melbourne to life, as well as showcasing the Holiday Inn brand proposition, the Joy of Travel,” she said.

“What he created was beyond our expectations and our guests are truly wowed and delighted when they enter the spaces. We look forward to delivering our signature hospitality to guests at their future events.”

The refurbished conference and event spaces compliment the recent renovation of the hotel’s 209 rooms and suites, which was completed in March 2018.
