Hilton Brisbane recently launched its new $4 million look.
Melbourne firm Carr Design was at the helm of the project, following a brief that required them to maintain Harry Seidler’s original design vision and connect the hotel’s soaring lobby atrium with the spaces below. They also upgraded the AV in all 19 function rooms, a space than spans a whopping 2,500 square metres, to bring the spaces into line with industry benchmarks.
Hilton Brisbane’s general manager Chris Partridge said, “We are particularly delighted by the amazing lighting features in the main Ballroom and throughout the event spaces.”
The renovation project saw the property’s entire meeting and event space stripped down to the bare bones and recreated with attention paid to all areas including replacement of the main ballroom operable walls which, when dividing the room, ensures an upgraded acoustic environment.
The hotel invested $700,000 in 2015 to rejuvenate its pool terrace and Victoria’s Meeting room and has committed nearly $14 million over the last five years to keep the property up to scratch.
