Cairn’s heritage-listed Shed 2 complex is set to be transformed into an all-new waterfront dining destination and business events venue from next year.
Situated nearby the Cairns Cruise Liner Terminal overlooking Trinity Inlet, Hemingway’s Brewery is a brew pub and restaurant that also offers a dedicated 1,400 square metre space capable of accommodating over 1,000 guests.
Aside from its vast floor space, Hemingway’s Brewery will feature eight metre heritage ceilings with a fully integrated state-of-the-art Canadian brewing system that will dramatically define the space with its working line-up of six metre high stainless steel tanks. There will also be brewery tours, an onsite kitchen for catering and air conditioning for comfort.
According to Hemingway’s Brewery’s general manager Dean Scadding, the launch of the venue is “exciting news for Cairns and particularly its vibrant business events market”.
“We are happy we can add another venue into the mix – one that has charm, character, versatility and most importantly a picturesque waterfront location,” he said.
The Cairns development follows hot on the heels of the company’s Port Douglas establishment which opened in July last year at The Reef Marina.
