The iconic Grand Hyatt Melbourne will reopen after a $45 million redevelopment in time for the Spring Racing Carnival.

After 15 months of construction to enhance the building’s art deco design, the new upper and lower lobbies, restaurant and bar will be ready to welcome guests by the end of the year.

“The redevelopment of Grand Hyatt Melbourne brings a new luxury offering to the heart of Melbourne and, along with our retail partners, is contributing to the resurgence of Collins Street as Melbourne’s epicentre for high fashion and fine dining,”
said Grand Hyatt Melbourne general manager, David Mansfield.

“We are looking forward to welcoming guests back for the Spring Racing Carnival.”
