Art Series Hotels has officially announced it will open its eighth property at Brisbane’s Howard Smith Wharves in March 2019.
The $60 million hotel will be the first new property for the group since it joined the AccorHotels family in late 2017.
The six-storey hotel will be carved into the cliff under the Story Bridge and will feature 166 guest rooms, with original artworks and prints.
Four food and beverage outlets will be on offer, plus a rooftop pool and three conference rooms, each equipped with high quality audio-visual technology.
AccorHotels Pacific chief operating officer Simon McGrath said the new Brisbane will set a clear direction for continued growth for Art Series Hotels.
“Art Series Hotels is celebrated for offering guests a unique art-inspired hotel experience like no other,” he said.
“The stunning new flagship hotel at Howard Smith Wharves is a strong sign of Accor’s belief in the much-loved brand and will kick start our plans for future growth across Australia and New Zealand.”
The hotel joins the highly anticipated Howard Smith Wharves precinct, which comprises two unique indoor event spaces, a brewery, green spaces, an overwater bar and a waterfront restaurants.
The hotel’s exterior will blend in with its natural surroundings with natural tones and textures designed by SJB.
Guest rooms enjoy city views across the Brisbane River or of the sculptured rock face.
Arts Series Hotels will reveal the hotel’s namesake artist in due course.
