Trippas White Group has officially opened the first of its two new late night dining venues in Sydney’s Queen Victoria Building.
Esquire Drink + Dine is inspired by a New York supplier club with dark interiors and a strong focus on spirits, cocktails and comfort food with flair.
At the official launch on 2 May 2019, Trippas White Group managing director Joseph Murray said Esquire is an exciting addition for Sydney’s nightlife.
“You can come here and eat what you want, you can drink what you want,” he said.
“You can have a long lunch during the day, you can have your dinner and drinks pre-theatre, you can come post-theatre, if you’re one of those people at night who can’t go to sleep because you watch Netflix, I want you to come here so you can talk to your friends about Game of Thrones.”
The venue marks a new era for the hospitality group, which has a number of venues and a possible name change in the pipeline.
“I want everyone in this room to watch this space because over the next couple of months, we will be launching more venues,” said Murray.
“We’ve come to the maturity that we say to ourselves maybe we have to look at ourselves and what we represent in our name. So there may be a name change in the very near future.”
“It’s absolutely so exciting for our group.”
Next week, Trippas White Group will officially launch its second QVB venue, Reign Champagne Parlour & Bar.
While Esquire emulates a dark supper club, Reign is a light-filled, pink-walled venue with more than 150 Champagnes and sparkling wines on offer.
The two venues follow on from Trippas White Group’s newly launched event venue at Sydney Opera House, the Yallamundi Rooms.
