Four Seasons Hotel Sydney joined forces with one of Sydney’s premier florists, Garlands, and L’Occitane to bring Earth Hour to life last week, with a visual installation intertwining Australian native flora with a sprinkling of candles.

The man responsible for the display was Garlands’ founder and chief creative artist, Ferdinando de Freitas, who is well known in Sydney for his ability to create a visual experience using native greenery, colourful blooms as well as raw husks and twines.
“Our philosophy has been to create raw and organic sculptural displays which we feel are very much in keeping with the symbolism of Earth Hour,” Freitas said.
“Garlands, along with Four Seasons and L’Occitane, therefore felt very passionate about bringing to life this important global message in an accessible and beautiful manner for all to observe.”
For this year’s Earth Hour, Four Seasons Hotel Sydney joined 35 other sister properties in creating a chain of candlelight dinners circumnavigating the globe. A sequence of candlelight dinners at each hotel started at Four Seasons Sydney’s Kable’s restaurant on March 28 at 8:30 pm local time and made its way west around the planet.
