Dreamworld’s new interactive walk-through experience celebrating Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture, wildlife and stories opened yesterday on the Gold Coast.
An Intrepretation Officer explains Yugambeh culture
The experiences offers guests the opportunity to personally engage with Indigenous ‘Interpretation Officers’ and experience their culture through activities including face painting, fire-making, music-making, animal talks and weapons demonstrations.
The interactive storytelling space
At the celebration of the opening, Rory O’Connor, a consultant with the local Yugambeh people, along with Yugambeh elders, conducted a naming ceremony for eleven of the park’s recently born koala joeys.
