DoubleTree by Hilton Darwin in the Northern Territory will today begin welcoming guests once again, as the 184-room officially reopens to visitors.
The hotel, located adjacent to DoubleTree by Hilton Esplanade Darwin, has been temporarily closed since April 2020, due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
“After an extended 12 months closure we are eagerly looking forward to welcoming guests back to an iconic property that has graced the Darwin Esplanade for 46 years,” said Todd Grierson, cluster general manager, DoubleTree by Hilton, Northern Territory.
“With both of the Doubletree hotels operating, it sends a strong message that Darwin market is recovering strongly from COVID-19.
“We are now looking forward to the amazing weather offered in Darwin during the upcoming dry season and beyond.”
Guests staying at the hotel will enjoy well-appointed guest rooms and suites with Juliet balconies, a poolside deck restaurant and bar, an outdoor swimming pool and three meeting rooms.
To uphold strict hygiene and social distancing measures, DoubleTree by Hilton Darwin is participating in the Hilton CleanStay Program, a series of cleaning and disinfection standards applied across global Hilton properties.
“The safety and wellbeing of our guests and team members remain our highest priority, and we continue to be diligent in our commitment to provide a clean, safe and hospitable environment for all who enter our doors,” said Grierson.
