The new 301 room Elan Soho Suites is set to open in July 2014.
Offering one and two bedroom apartments and penthouse suites, the opening of this locally owned and operated property is good news for the Northern Territory’s conferencing business.
With a dedicated conferencing and function floor, the entire area will be able to be used as one large space or broken up into seven boardroom-style venues. All venues have natural light as well as state-of-the-art equipment and WiFi will be accessible throughout the property. The largest venue will have capacity for 250 guests in a banquet-style setting, 407 delegates theatre-style and more than 380 for cocktails.
Elan Soho Suites will have Darwin’s first Korean BBQ restaurant: ‘Seoul Food’. Headed up by award-winning chef and published author Chung Jae Lee, the restaurant will be a welcome addition to Darwin’s higher end dining scene.
Other facilities at the hotel will include a 20 metre lap pool, a fully-equipped air-conditioned gym, same-day laundry services as well as 24 hour reception and room service. There will also be a smartphone check-in service available to guests.
