The third and final Cairns property in the Crystalbrook Collection portfolio, Flynn, opens its doors today.

Located on the Cairns Esplanade Boardwalk, Flynn features 311 rooms and suites, two glass pools, an Eléme Day Spa and dining outlets.

The hotel also offers three meeting spaces that can host up to 130 people at any one time.

Originally set to open in April 2020, Flynn experienced some set backs due to COVID-19 restrictions and border closures.

Geoff York, CEO and group director of Crystalbrook Collection, said the team is thrilled to complete the trio of hotels in Cairns.

“With the hope that all Australians will be welcome in Queensland by Christmas, the opening of Flynn is part of our ongoing commitment to support and invest in the Australian tourism industry,” he said.

Flynn’s restaurants and bars are also expected to be a drawcard for the Cairns region, starting with the ground-level restaurant, Boardwalk Social, which opened in January.

The market-style food and beverage venue is home to live music, local produce and brews, with 40 different kinds of gin to sample.

The hotel’s signature restaurant, Flynn’s Italian, is due to open in the coming months, followed by the Whiskey and Wine Bar, with an expansive selection of Australian whiskey plus local and imported wines.

Crystalbrook Collection area manager, Cairns Joel Gordon said it’s fantastic to see Flynn come to life.

“Flynn as a personality truly is the place to be and be seen, and we are ready to welcome all Australian’s to our beautiful part of the world,” he said.

Flynn joins the group’s existing Cairns properties, Bailey and Riley.
