Chef David Thompson is set to open his third Australian Long Chim at Crown Melbourne.

Chef David Thompson is set to open his third Australian Long Chim at Crown Melbourne.

Long Chim will replace No. 8 restaurant on the Crown Riverwalk.

No. 8 restaurant will complete its final service on 13 August, 2016.

Mark Holmes, executive general manager – food and beverage at Crown Melbourne Limited said, “We have been delighted with the success of No. 8 over the past years, and look forward to welcoming celebrated chef David Thompson and Long Chim to Crown Melbourne in 2017.”

Launching early 2017, Long Chim means to come, try and taste. Offering Thai cuisine inspired by the street food and local markets of Bangkok, the restaurant is the first in Melbourne for world renowned Australian-born Chef David Thompson, and will follow the opening of Long Chim Perth and the soon to open Long Chim Sydney.
