A new pop-up wine bar has landed in Brisbane, bringing nostalgic vibes and a contemporary menu to West End.
Fredericks is a modern homage to Frederick Peters, the founder of the iconic Peters ice cream factory which still stands next door.
Located in the West Village precinct’s Factory Lane, Fredericks is an open-plan and mostly alfresco space that draws inspiration from the colours and flavours of Peters Ice Cream.
Film designers Jon Dowding and Chrissy Feld were engaged to bring the concept to life, styling the space with neon lights and a bold rainbow colour palette.
From its prime position at the top of Factory Lane, which leads directly off Boundary Street, Fredericks offers views of the Peters Ice Cream factory building, which was built in 1928.
The drinks menu focuses on wine, craft cocktails and beer, while simple bites like cheese and charcuterie are also on offer. Guests wanting something more substantial can enjoy food from West Village’s The Garden Pantry, which houses Salt Meats Cheese, Cheeky Poké and Mr Bunz.
Fredericks can be hired exclusively for events of up to 120 guests, making it the ideal wine bar for pre- or post-event drinks or corporate cocktail functions in Brisbane.
