Wood-fired pizzas and Chifley’s own ale will be on the menu as leisure travellers and delegates alike check into the new Chifley Doveton, which opened outside Melbourne last week.
Now open: Chifley Doveton near Dandenong
The 4.5-star, 128-room Chifley Doveton, located at the junction of the Princes Highway and South Gippsland Freeway, close to Glen Waverly and Dandenong commercial precincts, includes a conference centre with onsite parking for 300 people, a restaurant and the Coldwater Creek Tavern and Microbrewery.
Developed and managed by Constellation Hotels, Chifley Doveton incorporates extensive business facilities as well as dining and recreation areas within the 8000sqm grounds to ensure corporate guests have easy access to conveniences for work and relaxation without leaving the hotel.
Constellation Hotels managing director Jonathan Wooller, said Coldwater Creek Tavern and Microbrewery offer a unique dining and entertainment area, perfect for the MICE market.
“We’ll have three types of beer made in the hotel and guests will get to see firsthand how it is made,” he said. “The inclusion of a gourmet wood-fire pizza oven imported from Italy will be a welcome addition for guests.”
Chifley Doveton offers 128 guest rooms and suites, complete with LCD televisions, high-speed broadband, mini-bar and safe.
The hotel also boasts four conference and function rooms catering for up to 300 delegates, complimentary onsite parking, internet corner, and a full gymnasium with spa, sauna and pool is located within the Freeway Sports Centre next to the hotel.
Chifley Doveton is the third Chifley property to be opened by Constellation Hotels in 2009, after opening the Chifley Apartments Newcastle last month, and launching the first Grand Chifley in Adelaide earlier this year.
