Brisbane’s Princess Theatre unveils new meetings space

Queensland’s oldest surviving theatre has revealed a new meetings space for corporate gatherings.

The Princess Theatre has welcomed The Gallery, a new meetings facility located within the historic Brisbane venue.

The Gallery offers a blend of elegance and functionality, and features high ceilings and a custom-made boardroom table – perfect for business meetings, strategy days and workshops.

Each booking at the venue includes exclusive use of the space, fitted with a range of amenities, including a private bar, private balcony, custom designed furniture such as the aforementioned boardroom table, lounge settings, dry bars and bar stools.

The space also features natural light, free wi-fi and a 75-inch TV with HDMI connection. It is available for private bookings from 7am to 7pm, Monday to Saturday.

“The Gallery is a hidden gem inside The Princess Theatre, featuring all the grandeur of the main space at a fraction of the cost,” says The Princess Theatre’s events director, Harry Upton.

“We often receive comments from hirers and guests that the creative surrounds of the theatre lead to increased engagement and enjoyment so it’s exciting to unveil this next stage.”

Catering is available from Fables Bar & Cafe, located downstairs in The Princess Theatre, and The Gallery can be transformed into a post-meeting bar, with sunset views from its balcony.

There is also the option of booking group tickets to a show in the main theatre after a day of meetings.

The Princess Theatre is the sister venue of The Tivoli Brisbane, which featured in Spice’s Hot 100 hotels and venues for 2024 in the “Best mega venue in Australia (501-5000+ pax)” category.
