Hotel Grand Chancellor Brisbane‘s multi-million conference space opened last week.
350 guests converged on the new space to enjoy caviar, canapés, a fresh seafood bar and artisan delights, all the while sipping on French champagne, cocktails and boutique craft beer.
Entertainment included an award-winning beat boxer, fire twirlers and acrobatic acts, the evening was hosted by Sofia Formica, and Hotel Grand Chancellor Queensland area general manager Peter Yared officially opened the building, saying, “We were thrilled with the turn out tonight, the support of everyone that attended is humbling. We are excited to become the venue of choice for conferencing and events in Brisbane.”
A confetti cannon shooting out prize tickets capped off the evening.
The conference centre has over 1000 square metres of floor space and 11 function rooms spanning two levels. Each function room has audio visual equipment installed and managed by AV company Scene Change.
The construction also saw the vast expansion of the existing lobby and the transformation of offices and function rooms to make way for 36 additional hotel rooms.
Situated on the highest point in the Brisbane CBD, Hotel Grand Chancellor Brisbane is 4.5 star property, providing 230 guest rooms ranging from contemporary deluxe rooms to bold superior rooms.
