Best Western Hotels and Resorts has opened its latest hotel, the Best Western Haven Glebe in Sydney’s inner west.
The 4-star boutique hotel has completed a AUD$2.5 million refurbishment to its 56 guest rooms and retail frontage.
Guests can choose from queen, king or twin room types, while business and leisure travellers will enjoy free in-room WiFi and 40-inch LED TVs. For a touch of luxury, bathrooms are fitted with rain showerheads and L’Occitane products.
The hotel has onsite parking, 24-hour reception, a business centre and gym. While waiting for an onsite restaurant to open, the hotel has a convenient chargeback and room service arrangement with the neighbouring Glebe Cafe.
Best Western Australasia’s newly appointed head of commercial, Steve Richards, has welcomed the addition.
“Best Western’s newest accommodation in Glebe will help ease the strain on Sydney’s overall room capacity, especially this week during the city’s Chinese Lunar New Year celebrations,” Richards said.
“Best Western Haven Glebe is a classic example of the high calibre of hotels joining the midscale Best Western brand.
“After being closed to undergo refurbishments, the property re-opens with brand new rooms, bathrooms and an exterior that fits in with Glebe’s local feel,” Richards said.
Best Western Haven Glebe’s general manager, Shabir Satya said the boutique hotel is a perfect fit for Glebe, a suburb on the city fringe in the midst of renewing its urban frontage.
“Glebe is a great waterfront suburb and extremely close to Central Station and Sydney harbour inlets. Bookings are picking up as the Mardi Gras and Vivid Sydney festivals draw closer,” Satya said.
Best Western Haven Glebe becomes Best Western’s fifth Sydney hotel, joining the likes of Best Western Plus Hotel Stellar in Sydney CBD and Best Western Twin Towers in Artarmon.
