Australia’s first Holiday Inn Express & Suites branded property has opened on the Sunshine Coast, featuring combined suite/apartment accommodations alongside regular hotel rooms.
The new-build Holiday Inn Express & Suites Sunshine Coast has been positioned at the perfect base from which to explore the destination, while offering leisure and business travellers the great value the brand is known for.
Located in the centre of Maroochydore City, the property features 181 comfortable guest rooms and suites, thoughtfully appointed with convenient touches such as fast WiFi, study nooks, premium bedding and the brand’s signature ‘Express Recharge’ concept which includes a pillow menu, black-out blinds and a walk-in power shower.
Designed for comfort and functionality, each of the hotel’s 41 one-bedroom suites include full-service facilities including a kitchenette, small living area with sofa bed and pod coffee machines.
Guests will have their choice of a complimentary Express Start Breakfast of hot and cold options, or the quick and easy Express Start Breakfast Grab & Go.
Business travellers will appreciate the flexible workspaces and the two flexible meeting rooms, which offer a combined space of 67 square metres for up to 32 pax. There’s also The Great Room, which is relaxed common area that can be used as a space to work from or socialise in.
Other onsite facilities include a heated rooftop swimming pool and multi-purpose deck, 24-hour reception with express check in and check out, a fitness room, self-service laundry and secure parking.
Committed to sustainability, the property is targeting a high NABERS Energy and Water rating and a Net Zero 2030 target by continuously reducing its environmental footprint. It uses energy efficient equipment and bulk amenities instead of one-time use disposable ones, doesn’t use single use plastics, and offers guests ‘A Greener Stay’ initiative, allowing them to opt out of housekeeping services helping to save energy, water use and waste output.
