For the first time since opening, InterContinental Melbourne The Rialto is offering exclusive use of its dramatic Atrium for events.

Located between InterContinental Melbourne’s two tall wings – originally the historical Rialto and Winfield buildings – the Atrium is linked by a glass dome, creating a stunning nine-storey well with the hotel’s Alluvial Restaurant and Bluestone bar at its base.

The Atrium at InterContinental Melbourne- The Rialto is now available for events.

Available for receptions, parties and product launches for up to 200 guests, the stunning Atrium offers a bright and airy space for daytime functions and a grand option for memorable events under the stars.

The hotel’s innovative LED lighting system creates a dramatic backdrop for events, illuminating the façade of the Winfield wing along one side of the Atrium. The mood-inspiring lighting can be manipulated to a desired colour or colour combination, which can be incorporated to enhance a theme or reflect a company’s branding.

Another key feature is the elegant 50-metre mosaic wall, spanning the entire length of the Atrium in a classic damask pattern made up of more than 340,000 Bisazza glass tiles imported from Italy.

Events held in the Atrium have access to InterContinental Melbourne’s award-winning culinary team who can tailor menus to individual needs, while the hotel has partnered with Staging Connections to provide additional lighting, audio visual, rigging and themeing.
