Adelaide Marriott Hotel partners with Microhire ahead of opening

Australian-owned audiovisual and event staging services supplier Microhire is expanding into South Australia, launching its AI-driven event technology at the new-build Adelaide Marriott Hotel.

The international hotel chain opens its doors in Adelaide in August 2024 at the historic General Post Office building in the city’s CBD.

It is forging a partnership with Microhire to bring the company’s AI-powered simultaneous interpretation technology to its events spaces.

The cutting-edge technology delivers high-quality, real-time translations to audiences in their preferred language.

Microhire’s AI tracking cameras will also provide dynamic and precise video coverage for events hosted at the hotel, which automatically follow speakers and participants to capture every moment with commercial-grade accuracy.

Microhire’s investment in technology at Adelaide Marriott Hotel also includes a 4.8-metre x 2.7-metre 4K LED screen in the Sir Charles Todd Ballroom, accompanied by lighting installations capable of versatile effects such as beams and rotating lens.

Adelaide Marriott Hotel will offer a range of purpose-built meeting rooms and conference facilities in the heart of the city.

“We are thrilled to partner with Microhire,” says Adelaide Marriott Hotel general manager Paul Gallop.

“Their innovative approach and state-of-the-art technology perfectly aligns with our commitment to delivering exceptional event experiences.”

Microhire’s regional general manager, Victoria and South Australia, Bryan Dochstader, is equally enthusiastic about the partnership at the new hotel.

“Entering the South Australian market with Marriott allows us to offer a distinct and innovative event experience,” he says.

“The venue’s unique appeal and our dedication to customer-focused technology will undoubtedly leave a lasting impression on the state.”
