The Venues Collection curated two engaging sessions, with the first being on the theme of “Leading the Future: 2024 Event Trends”, with guest speaker Michelle Sargent, director, CWT Meetings & Events, and moderator, El Kwang, chief commercial officer at The Venues Collection.
The second session was “Cultivating Successful Event Teams” with speakers Amy Buttery, national conference operations manager, Arinex Group (pictured, above left); Felicity Zadro, founder and managing director, Zadro (pictured, above, second from left); and Janene Wardrop, associate lecturer, International College of Management Sydney (pictured, above, second from right). Kwang (pictured, above right) also moderated this panel session.
What were the event’s highlights?
The plant-based lunch provided by The Venues Collection was inspired by wellness. It showcased how culinary excellence can be achieved through plant-based food. On the menu was honey-glazed sugarloaf cabbage, romesco, gremolata, micro greens and nut crumble, which was very well received by guests.
For dessert, attendees enjoyed chargrilled pineapple, salted caramel sauce, mango, passionfruit and raspberry with coconut sorbet.
The entire menu was vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free.
