Sydney will welcome thousands of international delegates in 2020 and 2021 when Amway comes to town.
The global health and beauty company has chosen Sydney and regional NSW for three of its APAC gatherings, including the Amway Malaysia, Singapore & Brunei Leadership Seminar in December 2020,
Amway Japan Leadership Achievement Seminar also in December 2020 and Amway Korea Leadership Seminar in November 2021.
Won by BESydney, the events will see approximately 6500 of the company’s top selling APAC distributors visit the state.
New South Wales Minister for Jobs, Investment, Tourism and Western Sydney Stuart Ayres said the win involved a “whole of Sydney approach” to showcase the region as the ultimate incentive destination.
“These three meetings are expected to grow the NSW economy by A$36 million as Amway delegates get out and about in Sydney and surrounding regions on itineraries tailored to their unique cultural and business interests,” he said.
In the past decade, Sydney has welcomed almost 20,000 Amway representatives from around the world. Amway China has returned to Sydney three times for incentive programs.
BESydney CEO Lyn Lewis-Smith said the organisation has been working with direct selling clients across Asia for more than 14 years.
“Our NSW industry partners understand the market and work with us to tailor new experiences for incentive delegates each and every time they visit, generating business outcomes for our clients in the process,” she said.
Amway director of learning solutions, J-Style and special events department Shojiro Taniguchi said Sydney was chosen for its rewarding and motivating elements.
“We look for aspirational locations to host the Amway team: destinations that have the wow factor, evoke an emotional connection and help us create lifetime memories,” he said.
“The wide range of options, authentically Australian experiences, and the mix of cosmopolitan Sydney and nearby regional NSW activities are perfect for our delegates to make the most of their trip.
“Every time we visit there is something new to experience and explore.”
