Global events industry tradeshow organiser IBTM has announced first details of the inaugural IBTM Asia Pacific, which was rescheduled to take place on 13-14 April 2021 in Singapore.
The 2021 event will be themed ‘Inventing the future’ and will feature an educational program and networking opportunities alongside the exhibition.
IBTM Asia Pacific event manager Michael Jones said the theme for 2021 “feels a very apt” as the industry works together to recover and rebuild.
“We are working on a range of exciting initiatives in the run up to the event, including a regionally focused future trends report which will be unveiled in the coming weeks,” he said.
“Together with the team at Singapore Tourism Board and our venue partners, we are looking forward to delivering a COVID-safe event with the highest quality business opportunities for exhibiting partners and a comprehensive incentive and familiarisation programme for our hosted buyers.”
IBTM Asia Pacific will bring together international and regional meeting planners and exhibitors at Marina Bay Sands Expo and Convention Centre for two days of pre-scheduled one-to-one business meetings, education and networking.
Organisers report 50 per cent of exhibitor space has already been sold.
Singapore Tourism Board executive director of conventions, meetings and incentive travel Edward Koh said the orgnaisation has been working to establish a robust set of guidelines to ensure business events can resume in a safe manner.
“Our priority is to ensure that Singapore can re-open safely and sustainably for visitors to return again,” he said.
“We look forward to extending a warm welcome to IBTM Asia Pacific, as well as all attendees and exhibitors to Singapore in 2021.”
