PCOA rethinks annual conference

Attendees will have more options than ever before.

The Professional Conference Organisers Association (PCOA) will take its annual conference hybrid in December 2020.

Originally planned to take place in Tasmania, the two-day event will now be delivered both in-person and virtually, to accommodate for the changing COVID-19 restrictions.

PCOA president Barry Neame said it is with regret the association has had to “rethink” the annual conference.

“However, given that travel and movement in general around the world is proving to be difficult, we have used this opportunity to be creative and find other ways to bring our community together, live, local and connected,” he said.

Centred around the theme Flexibility is the Future – Live, Local and Connected, the event will comprise an in-person event at Hyatt Regency Sydney, supported by satellite locations in Australia and New Zealand, plus a virtual component.

“The interactive two-day program will examine case studies, explore new ways of preparing for the future, staying connected, and coping with the unexpected,” said Neame.

“We believe it is through the sharing of knowledge the industry can recover and thrive.”

PCOA20 will take place on 7 and 8 December 2020. Find out more here.
