The New Zealand International Convention Centre (NZICC) has announced NW Group as the venue’s in-house audio-visual and production supplier.
NW Group was selected as part of a formal tender process with the company operating two brands in New Zealand, Oceania and Spyglass.
NZICC GM, Prue Daly, says NW Group’s expertise, partnership approach and sustainability programme secured it the multi-year contract.
“This is the first major supplier to join the NZICC,” says Daly.
“We are looking forward to partnering with a company which shares many of the same values [as us].”
NZICC will be the country’s largest convention centre located in the heart of Auckland with a capacity for 4000 people with a 2850-seat theatre and 33 meeting rooms.
The venue is designed to give delegates easy transitions between meetings, exhibitions, functions, banquet and performance spaces.
One of the first major conferences to be hosted at the NZICC is the World Indigenous Peoples Conference on Education in November 2025.
It expects to welcome 3000 international visitors and deliver an estimated economic impact of over $NZ6 million.
