Digital and tech entrepreneurs will descend on Novotel Newcastle Beach next month for a new one-day conference.
Supported by the City of Newcastle, NewTech 2019 will take place on 6 September and will discuss advances in Fintech, Facebook, the importance of data and cyber security, content creation, digital marketing and more.
Novotel Newcastle Beach general manager Edmond Power said the hotel is delighted to be hosting some the sharpest minds in the digital and technology space.
“The innovation that is happening in Newcastle at the moment is extraordinary and the council’s Smart City Strategy which aims to maximise opportunities in technology, manufacturing, the digital economy and creative industries is really taking shape,” he said.
“With the support of the City of Newcastle and endorsement of Lord Mayor Nuatali Nelmes and the digital technology community, we are thrilled to be sponsoring and hosting NewTech 2019 at Novotel Newcastle Beach and we have no doubt guests will revel in the keynotes and forums with some of Australia’s most dynamic tech entrepreneurs.”
Keynote speakers include Matt Purcell from Mentored with Mark Bouris, Craig Browning from OAS Technology, Mark Shaw from OFX and Duncan Waterman from D-EDGE.
Michelle Adams from Accor will also present, sharing the group’s approach to content and how it has evolved over time.
