Now living in New York, Karen is an author, singer and professional speaker who goes by the name of The GPS Girl.

What is the most common reason for people needing to “recalculate” in their lives or business?

One of the most common challenges in business today is overwhelm. Being able to switch from our workday to personal time is incredibly important to our wellbeing and ability to be productive and at the top of our game.

I am a huge advocate for quality of life, and in fact this drives me more than anything else. Recalculating is such a useful principle for letting go of what did or didn’t happen on a daily basis.

Why is more important than ever to have a clear path to success?

Because we have more options than we can keep up with in this age of digital distraction, having a plan and making clear decisions is imperative. This makes it easier for us to recognise true opportunity.

What can attendees expect to take away from your session?

My session provides takeaways to be able to navigate change powerfully both in business and in life. The five directions for recalculating is a step-by-step process to be able to move forward no matter what occurs on a daily basis. Truly, it is never too late to recalculate.

What are you most looking forward to about speaking at Events Uncovered?

I am looking forward to presenting for Aussie events industry professionals! Being able to share my story without changing my Aussie turn of phrase will be fantastic, and it’s always a great experience to be with people wanting to learn and develop themselves, and their ability to be more effective.
