Registrations open for EEAA Conference 2017

The Exhibitions and Events Australasia (EEAA) conference program is now live.
Event industry strategist Denzil Rankine will headline this year’s conference program

The Exhibitions and Events Australasia (EEAA) conference program is now live.

To be held at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre (MCEC), the two day program includes keynotes and ‘clinics’ to give the business events industry, not just the expo sector, the chance to dive more deeply into topics and to hear from great experts.

The international speaker this year will be Denzil Rankine, the founder and executive chairman of AMR International, one of the global event industry’s leading strategy consultancy firms. Rankine will kick off the EEAA 2017 Conference with a keynote focussing on transformation and improving performance. With more than 30 years’ experience, Denzil is internationally recognised as a thought leader in the events industry.

Rankine will be joined by other leading subject experts including Nicki Hutley, the chief economist of Urbis, who will discuss factors influencing the economy in Australia, what our sector can expect in the operating environment and what the risks and opportunities are for our industry; Emma Triggs, founder and managing director, The M Agency who will discuss leveraging the best channels to lock people into your events; Steve Spurr, chief executive officer, Edelman Australia who will discuss the most trusted marketing channels for getting cut-through to your audience; and Rosie Yeo, strategy consultant who will discuss how to translate current knowledge and your best guesses about the future, into powerful strategies for your organisation.

New this year are EEAA’s specialist clinics. These clinics recognise the convergence of conferences and exhibitions in the event sector and are designed to have applications across the entire business event industry.

EEAA has responded to the call for targeted business development training and are pleased to announce a special clinic with Murray Grimston, advisory partner, Miller Heiman Group who will deliver a practical sales clinic to help attendees understand what it takes to succeed in sales and business development, specifically in the exhibition and events industry.

Other clinic topics include crisis management, sales, strategy and insights, marketing using social media, security and operations, marketing optimisation, logistics and safety, and stand design and experience
