Australian Technology Park hosted the first ever Australian Bridal Fashion Week (ABFW) last weekend.
International and local bridal fashion buyers, media, top wedding industry professionals and bride to be’s came into Sydney from all over to see Australia’s finest bridal gown designers launch their new collections upon the 40-metre runway.
The official media and VIP launch was held on Friday June 5 with special guests Network Ten newsreaders, Jessica Turner and Tara O’Keefe along with 150 VIP’s all gathered to get their photo on the red carpet, enjoy Oyster Bay wine and food from the Salt Meats Cheese grazing table as they mingled to the tunes of the ABFW band, Duke. Guests where then treated to a sneak peek runway show of one gown from each designer participating in ABFW.
There were 19 shows held over the weekend June 6 – 7 featuring both well known and emerging designers.
Between runway shows guests could get up close and personal with the designers and their gowns, bridesmaids dresses, men’s suiting, footwear, headpieces, accessories, jewellery and juniors fashion.
When they weren’t admiring the fashions, guests relaxed with a glass of bubbles in the Champagne bar, indulged in the ABFW beauty room where they had makeovers and eyelash extensions by Harlotte cosmetics and nails by Italian brand FABY, Australia and unwound in the Four Points by Sheraton lounge.
