Events Master Class Seminars launched for Australian Expos

Organisers of the Australian Business Events Expo and Sydney's Event Showcase have officially released their revitalised program for both their show's event talks to create one exceptional education program, servicing both shows.

Exhibitions and Trade Fairs (ETF), organisers of the Australian Business Events Expo (ABEE) and Sydney’s Event Showcase have officially released their revitalised program for both their show’s ‘event talks’ to create one exceptional education program, servicing both shows.

Complete with international headliners, the Australian Event Master Class Seminars are officially launched today with the opening of the box office via the show websites.

On 15 August 2012 the seminars will feature world class industry pioneer Andrea Michaels, President of USA based Extraordinary Events. Renowned for her conceptualising skills, logistical savvy and ability to produce mega-events for thousands of guests, Michaels has won over 35 Special Event Gala Awards. She was honoured as the first inductee into the Special Event Industry Hall of Fame and was a recipient of the coveted Special Event Award of Excellence and Lifetime Achievement Award.

American event industry guru Andrea Michaels will be one of many notable presenters within the seminar program.

Michaels’ Event Master Class Seminar, titled, “30 years of Special Events – Lessons in Business and Life” will provoke discussion on how to creatively and productively deal with the stress of events, deal with life’s challenges on both a personal and professional level, discuss how to cope with difficult clients and more importantly, how to stay relevant and survive in the events industry.

Opening the second day of the Australian Event Master Class Seminars will be technology expert and USA based Corbin Ball. Ball will talk about how “Technology Trends are Transforming the Industry.” Both speakers will be available for ‘meet the expert’ sessions at designated areas on the show’s floors.

Jodie Richmond, CEO of ETF, said the addition of international guest speakers is just one of the major transformations made to the quality of education offered at both tradeshows.

“Along with the key note speakers, we’ve arranged a fantastic line-up of industry leaders to deliver a number of seminars and panel sessions. We know from our research that relevant event education is hard to source; so with this program we are making sure we deliver solid educational opportunities for event buyers and organisers – across the broad spectrum of events,” said  Richmond.

The entire Seminar program has been designed to cater for the various levels of expertise in the industry, from junior event professionals, to PA’s, senior management, business owners, event managers, PCO’s, agency staff, association managers, special events managers and technical producers.

Some of the presenters and panellists include: Matt Jones, Better Happy; Dr Caroline Hong, CEP of SME Association Australia; Jeremy Garling, Fourth Wall Events; Jane Fullerton-Smith, Sustainable Event Solutions; Caroline Gair, Ci Events; Roslyn McLeod, Arinex and Tom Manion, Jack Morton Worldwide.
