Buyers in Australian and New Zealand are being invited to apply for hosted placement at IT&CM China 2009 — a MICE trade show and expo taking place in Shanghai next month.
Now in its third year, IT&CM (Incentive Travel & Conventions, Meeting) China matches together buyers and sellers from the regional MICE sector to explore business opportunities, generate leads and strengthen existing business partnerships.
The expo will also feature daily education sessions with eminent speakers expounding on pertinent issues.
Topics will include a cast study on the bidding for the 2010 World Expo, creativity to counter the economic downturn, building a business case for travel incentives, social networking, new trends, partnering with airlines and hotels, and a China future leaders forum.
IT&CM will also offer a number of social and networking functions, including pre- and post-show city tours, an opening ceremony, friendly golf games, hosted luncheons and a welcome dinner.
The 2008 expo was attended by 211 exhibitors from 26 countries, 90 journalists, 300 buyers and more than 2000 delegates from 35 countries. The 2009 expo aims to better those figures and will see SpiceNews reporting live from the event.
Hosted buyers will receive return airfare to Shanghai, five nights luxury accommodation and entry to most events.
